165

Completed in 2013, this new house sits on a shoulder mountain facing southeast toward the Blue Ridge Mountain in Roanoke, VA. The owners were taken with a mix of western style mountain houses, as well as the Virginia vernacular, and wanted their new house to appear to have been created out of several adjoined structures. Rustic siding of different colors and an undulating plan help achieve this effect.
